Blue Six - Signs & Wonders

Naked Music Recordings is an excellent label releasing beautiful soulful chillout music by the likes of Aquanote and Andy Caldwell (both members of Soulstice), Gaelle, Miguel Migs and Trentmoller. The founder is Jay Denes who releases under the name Blue Six and this is his excellent album of last year, all smoothly dark and sensual sounds topped by soft female vocals and, most importantly, puntuacted by the dynamics of a subtle funky guitar and a mild but groovy bass, kinda like A Certain Ratio would sound if Denise Johnson was their leader and not just their backing vocalist. Chill funk then, as rare as wonderful.
